Volunteering is a vital component of UK society, with millions contributing their time and skills annually across Scotland, Wales, England and Northern Ireland. These inspiring statistics highlight the incredible contributions of volunteers and the potential for even greater engagement across the UK.
Did you know that we have some of the most amazing and generous volunteers supporting the staff team and patients at St Luke’s? In fact, our charity is led by a group of very hard working, dedicated volunteers, the trustees. Each trustee provides their professional expertise and knowledge to support the management team and patients at St Luke’s.
We have volunteers from the Headington Rye Sixth Form and the Oxford International College Sixth Form who often come and play music for the residents, along with other duties. The gardens here at St Luke’s are beautifully cared for by three very hardworking volunteers - Sylvia, Alison and Lynette. We also have Jean on the sweet trolley, and Wendy and Ray who also help with activities.
We are so grateful to each person who gives their time to St Luke’s Hospital patients, residents, our facilities and helping out staff team. You are all superstars – thank you ❤
