After forty years within the care industry, Richard Burden our current Chief Executive will be stepping down from his role in August.
Gratifyingly, the recruitment process identified a significant number of very well qualified applicants who were attracted by the opportunity to lead St Luke’s. The board has appointed Nikki May to succeed Richard in August this year.
Simon Polito, Chair of Trustees commented,
We believe Nikki is exceptionally well qualified to take over from Richard, having worked as Director of Operations at St Andrews in Northampton for the last few years. She is very enthusiastic about taking up the position and greatly looking forward to meeting all members of staff and the patients at St Luke’s.
Nikki will be bringing over thirty years of experience across business, education and healthcare to her new role at St Luke's.

My commitment to care was inspired by time in my early career as a support worker, and I have spent the years since working my way into senior leadership roles where I have led organisations and teams through improvement, change and growth.
Nikki will be leading the next chapter for the charity and we are all looking forward to her joining the team here.
