What’s been happening at St Luke’s?

Our activities team and staff have been busy bees 🐝 (pardon the pun) exploring the world of bees and plants this last week or so with our residents.

On World Bee Day the Activities Team shared fascinating facts about these precious creatures. Bee Life states "The sunflower is like gold for native bees", so residents sowed sunflower seeds to plant out in our garden, and they are coming on well.

Talking of pollinators and plants, one of our team, Sunita, cares for the plants in the garden room, as well as our residents.

She produces exotic blooms and lush foliage which flourish and create a unique and uplifting atmosphere in this well used space. She truly has green fingers, a magic touch!
