After many months of planning, the physio gym at St Luke’s Hospital is finally undertaking its major refurbishment since the Hospital was opened in the early 1980s.
Thanks to an amazing fundraising campaign led by one of our trustees, Juliet Norman, the plans are now finally being put into action.
Juliet and her committee of friends, family and fellow trustees organised a charity walk held in April this year. Thanks to their hard work, the event raised over £40,000 for the refurbishment project.
As you'll see from the photographs the first work has taken place with the electricians removing the old, outdated strip lights, installing much better lighting throughout the facility. The room is now being decorated before the installation all the equipment. As part of the refurbishment there will be a range of new equipment being purchased to support patients with their rehabilitation care plans.
We will provide you with photographs as the work commences, so watch this space.
