Today marked our re-opening following our extensive building works that have been carried out over the last 24 months.
Our buliding project sees the addition of twelve en-suite bedrooms, expansion of some exisiting rooms, an indoor garden room, a dedicated actvities room, additional day room and dining rooms, additional staff facilities and a renovated reception which includes the living wall on the facade.
The new floor was opened by the Lord Lieutenant Tim Stevenson who himself has had experience of St Luke's in recent years.
We were able to celebrate staff with long service and the 22 members of the St Luke's staff who have over ten years service came along to join in with the celebrations.
The opening was followed by a garden party for all of our patients/residents, staff and visitors.
The sunshine was out and the catering department put on a fantastic spread.
The day was enjoyed by all and we look forward to seeing the benefits that our new floor has for the hospital and all of the individuals in our care.
