Keeping our Patients Safe

How we are working to protect our patients

during the Covid-19 pandemic

Since the pandemic impacted the UK in March 2020, we have adopted the most stringent virus control measures to help keep our patients, their families and our staff team safe.

Life at St Luke's Hospital has of course changed to ensure that we limit the risk of affecting anyone who lives, works or visits the Hospital.  In November 2020, we were asked by Oxfordshire County Council to consider supporting the NHS by offering rehabilitation to people who are in recovery from Covid-19.  With some changes to our layout and working practice, we now have a self-contained Covid recovery ward on the ground floor which has its own staff team and working protocols.  There is no access between the recovery ward and the rest of the Hospital.
